Mom,

A couple things:

1) Inline skates are lots of fun.
2) Only gay men actually wear inline skates these days.
3) If you want to be cool get a skateboard.
4) Don’t listen to Rod Stewart while skateboarding or all of your new skater buddies will think you are weird.
5) The cops are your enemy.
6) Any surface raised from normal pavement height is up for grabs when it comes to grinding, ollying, or manualing over.
7) Packing a lunch for your skater friends, while seemingly helpful, is probably uncool unless it contains a dimesack.

Missed you, glad you’re back.

I don’t know what to say about your first disaster, except what a bite! Get out there quick and make a next successful sale, to make the sick feeling of this disaster speed away from your being.

Also, I want to know if you can find time to teach me how to use inline skates, as I got a pair from Play It Again last night. I just need a couple hours of your time to make sure I don’t break my head in practicing. I did not spend the money for body protection, yet. Hopefully, I won’t end up regretting that.

Dude, you seriously need to consider becoming an author. You know, put out a couple books about random stuff like this. Maybe after a year or so, you could take all these posts and get them published, do a book tour, make millions, rule the world!

Admittedly, I look down on women as a gender. Obviously they are inferior to men. We have big rippling muscles and brains and we are better at mowing the lawn. Women can’t compete. It’s not your fault. You were born that way like midgets or freckled kids or Vanilla Ice.

Here’s a nickel, buy yourself some therapy.

How come the owner of the business, who you say is your age, is a “girl”? Are you a “boy?” (Somehow I doubt you apply “boy” to yourself.) And the early-twenties male, who seems to be younger than the female, is a “young man”? Why not a “boy?” (And why isn’t she a “young woman?”)

Let me help you out. The female business owner is a WOMAN!!! You can use the word “woman.” It won’t hurt you. And it shows respect.

Ah, but the cow ate large amounts of vegan food before his death. Therefore you still have the wholesale bug slaughter and occasional goffer, as well as the death of the cow, plus anything the cow happened to step on during his life.

I feel the same way about the cold, the rain. The damp cold seeps into my bones, not yet too old. A return to Florida would be soothing, if only for the warmth of the sun.
